Harking back to the early roots of her mark making, FLOX has returned to her original medium of choice, silk screening, to produce this beautiful new series of limited edition prints. FLOX’s obsession with the hand-made is evident here, dropping the more contemporary method of digital printing, to a process that dates back to around AD 221.
The artworks are made up of multiple silkscreens where every colour is pulled through to the paper beneath resulting in a more authentic, hand crafted, textured piece of art with a vintage twist.
The white birds featured are our beloved and rare white Tūī, Piwakawaka and Kotuku. To spot one of these treasured birds in the wild would indeed make for an inspiring and unique experience.
