Created for the front reception of Central Auckland Specialist School, this mural brings together five native birds, each representing one of the school’s five zones: Pūkeko, Fantail, Tūī, Godwit and Tomtit.
Moving across the wall, the birds come together as a collective expression of community, support and strength. Built through layers of stencil and spray paint, each bird carries its own texture, depth and movement, while the composition connects them as one.
The mural creates a colourful and welcoming entrance for tamariki, whānau and staff, reflecting the sense of connection and belonging at the heart of the school community.
