A massive thank you to the team at @handsoffthewall for inviting me to this very special all female festival here in Munich, Germany. As I write this a day after the festival, reflecting on the week that has been, I feel truely humbled and lucky to be doing what I love best in life and to be on the other side of the world meeting other like minded people with the very same passions. Organising a festival of this size (27 Artists/Duos) would never be an easy feat, so congrats to Team HOTW for their efforts and for making this all possible. Highlights for me were meeting @loomit_official (my colour hero) and connecting with @amandalvaldes – we were lucky enough to paint next to each other, super cool lady, love your art, babes!
The artwork I painted is a celebration of Aotearoa (NZ). I wanted to leave a little slice of home in Germany, something different in style, content and technique for Werksviertel Mitte and the greater Munich community. I was super stoked with the feedback along the way, and am more than happy with the result.
A very special thank you to @anthkirk for reaching out all those months ago and introducing me to this festival in the first place, welcoming me into her home, showing me around Munich AND assisting me on the entire paint! Thank you for EVERYTHING, what an incredible experience you’ve helped to create for me, I’ll never forget your generosity. Something tells me this is just the beginning for us and I’m very much so looking forward to our next northern hemisphere painting adventure
