Kōtuku In The Cut: Spring Edition is the 6th of it’s kind, and represents the essence of the artist’s craft. Here, the stencil becomes the artwork in it’s own right, allowing for the simplicity and sophistication of the artists’ cut outs to be celebrated.
The artwork pays homage to Aotearoa's environmental taonga, and hero's the Puawānanga, (Native Clemitis) or "the flower of the skies" as traditionally when in flowering meant the start of spring. The piece symbolises new beginnings and a fresh start, celebrating FLOX's 20 years of evolution.
Meticulously hand cut into Fabriano archival paper stock.
Choose to take unframed, or frame with a float mount box frame, accentuating the play on shadows as the light travels through the cuts of the stencil.
